Question 1.Can we register before the LGS?
Answer.Pre-registration can be done before the LGS and is not binding. Final registration and scholarships are decided by percentile after the LGS results. Students who did not sit the exam or come from abroad have a separate assessment meeting. -
Question 2.Why does the cut-off percentile change every year?
Answer. The cut-off is the lowest percentile among students who registered that year. Because applications, quotas and the difficulty of the LGS change every year, so does the cut-off. Read the values in the LGS tool as past information, not as a promise. -
Question 3.Do you accept transfers into higher grades?
Answer. When there are places, we accept transfers into grades 9, 10 and 11. A transfer application needs the student's report card and a short intro meeting. -
Question 4.Can students switch between the Science and Anatolian programmes?
Answer. At the end of grade 9, at the student's and parent's request and if there is a place in the other programme. Subjects with different weekly hours are caught up in summer school. -
Question 5.Is private tutoring needed?
Answer. Our programme is designed so that it isn't: in grades 11 and 12 practice exams, study hours and individual plans all run within school. We plan together with families who still want extra support. -
Question 6.How do students join an olympiad group?
Answer. There is no selection exam. In the first month of grade 9 every group runs open trial lessons; any interested student can come. At the end of October student and teacher decide together whether to continue. -
Question 7.Is the scholarship renewed every year?
Answer.A scholarship lasts four years and the condition (grade average) is checked at the end of each year. If it is not met, the scholarship drops one band; it returns if the condition is met the following year. -
Question 8.What do the fees include?
Answer.Tuition includes textbooks and practice exams. Meals, the school bus and lab-stationery are separate items. All amounts are listed on the Fees page with their VAT status. -
Question 9.What time does school start and finish?
Answer.Lessons start at 08:30 and finish at 15:40. 16:00–17:30 is club, olympiad and study time and is optional. Buses leave at 15:50 and 17:45. -
Question 10.What is the phone policy?
Answer.Phones stay in a locker in the classroom during lessons and can be used at breaks and lunch. In the lab they are used for measurements with the teacher's permission. -
Question 11.What information do the forms ask for?
Answer.Web forms only ask for the parent's name and contact details and the student's name, year of birth, grade, programme of interest and, optionally, LGS percentile. No health information, national ID number or photo is requested; documents needed for final registration are collected at school with written notice. -
Question 12.Are photos taken at school published on the website?
Answer.Photos showing a student's face are only published with the parent's written consent. Students without consent are photographed from behind or the side at events. You can withdraw consent at any time.
